Description

The Arts Entrepreneur of the Year Award was designed to highlight and bring to the forefront the work of an artist. This entrepreneur has successfully attempted to bring forth his passion with reference to the visual arts, performing arts or music. They have merged their interest in the arts with the world of business and created something that promotes the arts. This artist also shares his/her ardour through their continued impact and contribution to the community.

Criteria

All award applicants will be judged on the following criteria:

• Artistic excellence in at least one of:
  • Visual Arts – painting, sculpture, fiber arts, etc.
  • Performing Arts – theatre, dance, mime, martial arts, etc
  • Music – musical performance, composition, etc
• Contributes to the development of the arts in his/her community.
• Encourage and inspires other people to explore and delve into the world of visual arts or performing arts or music.
• Runs a successful business whose foundation is built upon the arts
