Member of Parliament
Elected on October 14 2009 as Member of Parliament for Papineau, Justin Trudeau is passionate about engaging young Canadians in politics. Capturing the attention of students from elementary school through to university, he champions liberal values, defending the causes that are dear to his heart, such as the environment and youth empowerment. During the summer of 2006, he chaired the youth taskforce of the Liberal Party Renewal Commission, generating ideas about how to engage more youth politically. More recently, Mr. Trudeau has been appointed as Official Opposition Critic for Youth and Multiculturalism. Shortly after completing a bachelor of arts in literature at McGill University, Mr. Trudeau moved to Vancouver to earn a bachelor of education from the University of British Columbia. For the five years he lived there, he taught French and other subjects in a number of different schools and school boards, acquiring first-hand experience in promoting bilingualism in Canada. |

I spoke at the Impact National Conference and I must say it was an impressive event. The students worked hard to produce an outstanding learning and networking experience that was a real joy to attend. The energy from all those young entrepreneurs was simply amazing. I was there to inspire the students, and they ended up inspiring me! |
