Impact Leadership Conference

Overview

Conference Details

Welcome to the Impact Leadership Conference homepage. The Leadership Conference is scheduled for November 9-10, 2007 in Toronto, Ontario. As with all of Impact's previous conferences, the goal of the team is to continue to bring our flagship event to new levels by introducing new events, bringing in the highest quality speakers and reaching out to the best delegates from across the nation and beyond. This year’s event will bring together 500 students from the Secondary and Post-Secondary level for a weekend of inspiration and learning.

The Impact Leadership Conference is the premier student entrepreneurship event in Canada. The conference attracts the best and brightest students from the Secondary and Post-Secondary levels. Student leaders and budding minds with a passion for entrepreneurship gather to learn, discuss, and network with their peers and distinguished members of the entrepreneurial community.

Who We Are

Impact is a non-profit, student-run organization dedicated to promoting entrepreneurship and leadership in Canada. Impact exemplifies leadership in entrepreneurship by connecting people, knowledge and ideas, recognizing success, and providing inspiration to leaders at every stage of their development.

Through several initiatives that we undertake throughout the year, we immerse each and every participant into a business environment and surround them with the entrepreneurs and industry leaders of today, in the hopes of fueling their ambition, passion, and determination for entrepreneurship.

The conference boasted a star-studded speaker lineup from a wide spectrum of backgrounds including business, technology and science. These speakers participated in a variety of stimulating events designed to enrich the delegates’ knowledge on entrepreneurship.

History of the Leadership Conference

Our conference encourages participants to take a glimpse into the entrepreneurial world by attending a variety of events including panel discussions and speaker sessions. Impact’s speakers consist largely of entrepreneurs and corporate executives who share their personal experiences and knowledge with Impact participants. These activities are aimed at bridging the gap between student-life and the real world. Impact exposes delegates to some of Canada’s top leaders who graciously share their experiences and explain what it takes to become successful business leaders.

Impact’s networking activities provide participants with an opportunity to develop and practice key business skills such as teamwork, strategizing, decision making, taking initiative, and using creativity. Our exhibition showcases innovative student initiatives from across the country and features our corporate partners who highlight their products and services. Our case study competition immerses participants in a practical business environment, so they can apply knowledge learnt throughout the conference to challenging problems they may face in the business world.
